Leadership Summits

Our leadership summits bring together middle school girls from across Fairfield County for a variety of empowering learning experiences that encourage girls to explore their potential and believe in themselves. All sessions feature a keynote speaker, mentoring, & fun team-building activities. “This summit was amazing! My favorite part was being challenged by the exercises, because although it was hard, there were girls everywhere you turned shouting encouragement to push through. I also loved hearing the SparkFire Active story. I now believe that if I can make a small positive spark, it will have a ripple effect and create positive change in the world. And it was super fun getting creative to make a video ad!”

Monday, January 15th @ 10 am - 2 pm | Stamford Boys & Girls Club (3147 Stillwater Avenue)

Come together with middle school girls from across Fairfield County to learn from Connecticut Women's Hall of Fame how some of our state’s most remarkable women overcame obstacles and grew into confident leaders! Be inspired by the powerful stories of women like Marian Anderson who dealt with racial discrimination, Sophie Tucker who struggled with body image, and others across many fields.

Did you know that Connecticut has a Kid Governor's Program?
Be inspired by 6th grader Jessica Brocksom, Connecticut's Kid Governor, elected in November 2016 by 5th graders across the state through a civics program created by the Connecticut Public Affairs Network.

This summit will also feature a poetry workshop, teambuilding games, and lunch.
